BNI signs deal for insurance of housemaids
Bahrain National Insurance (BNI) and Jakarta Manpower signed an agreement
for BNI to provide domestic servants insurance on housemaids recruited through
Jakarta Manpower company.
Under the terms of the agreement, BNI will provide a specially-designed insurance
scheme on domestic servants covering personal accidents and bodily injury
whilst working in Bahrain. The insurance will be provided as an additional
benefit from Jakarta Manpower to their clients. Whenever a housemaid or any
other domestic assistant is recruited through Jakarta Manpower office, a
policy will be issued, covering her/him against personal accidents and bodily
injury including death from accidents. The policy will also include the cost
of repatriation of mortal remains to the housemaid’s home country.
The agreement was signed by Mahmood Al Soufi, CEO of Bahrain National Holding,
the mother company of BNI and Aqeel Al Mahari, Managing Director of Jakarta
Manpower. Present in the signing ceremony were Morten Holm, General Manager
of General Insurance, BNI, Mohammed Al Rasheed, Assistant Manager, Personal
Lines, Shaula Taqi, Account Executive, Personal Lines and Mohammed Radhi,
