
The Prime Minister ,Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, has stressed
making Bahraini citizens aware of the importance of safeguarding peace
and security in the Kingdom and preserving its achievements.
Shaikh Khalifa said that citizens were the best protectors of the
accomplishments of the Kingdom.
The Premier also affirmed his keenness on following up the performance
of the ministries, mainly those which offer services. This, he said,
was important to guarantee the best services from the government to the
citizens.
During a meeting with ministers and members of the Shura Council and
the Chamber of Deputies, led by the Deputy Prime Minister and
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa,
the Prime Minister stressed that nothing would prevent or slow down the
development of services and interests that benefit this progress.
With regard to Arab affairs, the Prime Minister hailed the importance
of enhancing Arab cooperation in light of the current challenges
worldwide in the economic, security, political and other fields.
The Prime Minister also asserted that holding the Arab Summit in Sherm
El Sheikh was an opportunity to push forward the joint Arab work and
activate its mechanisms.
Shaikh Khalifa lauded relations between Bahrain and other countries and
the Free Trade Agreement between Bahrain and the United States which,
he said, mirrored the strong ties between both countries mainly in the
commercial and economic sectors.
