Islamic Society rebuilds houses of three needy families

The Islamic Society’s building and renovation committee has handed over three rebuilt houses to their owners.
The project was part of the society’s efforts to provide needy families and orphans with better living conditions.
Society chairman, Dr Abdullatif Al Mahmoud, presented the keys to the houseowners in the presence of the director of the resources committee at the society and a delegation from the Kuwaiti Fund House which had financed the project.
The society’s programme for 2005 included rebuilding the houses at a cost of BD96965. It also renovated 20 houses at a cost of BD33222. Dr Al Mahmoud said many other houses needed repairs and thanked Bahrain’s donors and the Kuwaiti Fund House for help.
