King’s Deputy, PM hail deputies

The Prime Minister, Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, affirmed yesterday that Bahrain was capable of achieving further economic and political progress.
Shaikh Khalifa stressed that Bahrain could overcome the challenges that it might face in the national progress through cooperation with the executive and legislative authorities and in light of the democracy and the environment of freedom of expression and openness in the Kingdom.
During a meeting with members of  the Independent and Islamic blocs in the Chamber of Deputies, the Premier said the democratic movement was admired worldwide  and would continue to gain praise through cooperation between the two authorities concerned.
Shaikh Khalifa stressed that the accountability of citizens and representatives and their commitment to national values were the bases of the success.
He called upon the parliamentary blocs to share the government’s concern for issues relating to improving living conditions of citizens, and lauded their commitment to enhancing the parliamentary and democratic process through constructive dialogue in line with the reforms spearheaded by His Majesty the King, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.


HM the King’s Deputy, Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, received yesterday at Riffa Palace, members of the Independent Bloc at the Chamber of Deputies, led by Abdulaziz Abdullah Al Mousa, on the occasion of the conclusion of the third session of the first legislative term.
Shaikh Salman lauded the members’ outstanding efforts to review domestic issues and wished them constant success in supporting the democratic progress in the country.
Shaikh Salman expressed his pride with the democratic practice and constructive national dialogue.
Al Mousa briefed Shaikh Salman on various issues adopted by the bloc, including the labour market and  economic reforms.
