The Minister of Education, Dr Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi, chaired the meeting of primary education development committee and reviewed the new strategy to develop primary education.
The committee discussed the status of primary education, its curriculum, administration and evaluation, with a focus on the results of the primary education level and its difficulties in addition to the role of educational guidance.
A presentation was made on the the objectives of developing primary education, the characteristics of the future student and the educational needs related to each subject.
Last year, Dr Al Nuaimi had issued a decision to set up a committee which has completed a study on the development of primary education. Recommendations and suggestions made by educationists and specialists in curriculum and education development were also reviewed and incorporated in the new strategy.
