His Majesty the King, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, yesterday received a letter from the US President, George Bush, on bilateral relations and cooperation and means of bolstering them in various areas.
The letter was presented by the US National Security Advisor for Homeland Security and Senior Counter Terrorism, Fran Townsen, during a meeting with HM the King at the Safriya palace. HM the King reviewed with Townsen bilateral relations at the political and security levels along with the latest regional developments.
Present were the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, the Minister of the Royal Court, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Dr Mohammed Abdulghaffar, the head of National Security, Dr Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Atiyatallah Al Khalifa, and the US Charge d’Affaires in Bahrain, Robert Ford.
