The Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company community-service committee yesterday held a charity-dish event at GPIC cafeteria. Dr Mustafa Al Sayed, general manager, speaking on the occasion, underlined the importance of such charity projects involving company employees and said the proceeds would be allocated to supporting such projects as homes for the aged and other charity schemes in the country. He thanked the committee, praising the panel for the continuous efforts made by its members for the success of this humanitarian programme. He noted the committee’s pioneering role in promoting services aimed at serving financially disadvantaged families and local societies, reiterating GPIC support for any charity project that served local citizens, charities and social organisations in the Kingdom. The general manager also paid tribute to all staff members for their contribution towards supporting and making this event successful which reflected the high level of awareness and strong drive to serve good causes and to support charitable projects.
